Here is how to adjust dual flush toilet mechanism:
Turn off the water supply to the toilet.
Remove the tank lid and try removing the plunger assembly.
Most of the plunger assemblies will twist off with a partial anti-clockwise twist that unlocks tabs holding the assembly in place.
Remove the plunger assembly carefully and check either side.
Most of the dual flush plunger assemblies can be calibrated on both the full and half flush sides to adjust the flush capacity.
After you have adjusted the flush capacity to the needed level, put the plunger assembly back in, turn on the water supply and test both flushes.
Adjusting Water Levels
If calibrating the plunger mechanism didn’t work out for you, you can adjust the water level and see if that works out.
The fill valve will have two ways to adjust it, a coarse adjustment that makes big changes and a fine adjustment to make small changes.
The fine adjustment will be like a screw on the float that you can turn clockwise with a flat head screwdriver to raise the water level and get a bigger flush.
In case of larger adjustments, the fill valve may have a cylinder on the outside main part of it that can be moved up and down.
Search for a tab, pin, or latch that can be removed or switched to open. Open or unhook this patch or pin and adjust the cylinder down or up.
Ensure you keep the water line about ½ inch below the overflow valve. Most of the tanks will mark this line on the back of the tank.
Adjust the water level, close or replace the pin or latch, turn the water back on and test both flushes.
This is all.
