How to Add Nominee in Axis Bank?
Follow the below mentioned steps to add a nominee in your Axis Bank account.
Visit
Axis Direct Loginand login to your account.
You will get an option of ‘Add Nominee’ if you haven’t. If you already have and you want to change the nominee, select ‘My Account’ from the ‘Take Me To’ dropdown and click on the ‘Add Nomination’ tab.
If you’re nominating for the first time, the system will ask you so. You just need to click on your required option and ‘proceed’
You will receive an online form which you have to fill out with relevant information. If the address is the same as the account holder, just click on the option ‘Same as Account Holder’. If not, fill in the details.
Once filled, you will get the form shown on the screen. Click on the ‘I wish to nominate Demat & Trading/MFD account [As per details given below]’ disclaimer. Then, accept the disclaimer if you agree and then click on ‘Proceed’.
A success message would show up confirming that your request has been taken. Login to your account again and select the ‘My Account’ from the ‘Take Me To’ dropdown and then click on the ‘Add Nomination’ tab. Once you do that, ‘View History of Online Nomination’ link will appear.
A page will show up where you can check your status. If it says ‘Submitted’, it’s under process. If it says, ‘Rejected’, the reason will be sent to you via email. If your status says, ‘Downloaded’, it means it has been processed.
You can then click on the ‘Nominee Details’ link and view the details.
