RMD is something you can see on your electricity bills and energy statements. I was also unaware of what it meant. I researched online and found that RMD stands for Recorded Maximum Demand, and this value is the average of the instantaneous power during a defined time interval, usually every 15 minutes. 

I recently had a talk with my friend about how RMD affects electricity bill, and he told me that if the MD increases by 20% of the contracted power, then you will have to pay a penalty with the electricity bill.
