Here’s how much does it cost to move a bed,

  1. Moving charges depend on whether it is a single bed or a double bed. A single bed is lighter and easier to handle, so it costs less than a double bed.

  2. In Bangalore, shifting a single bed usually costs between Rs. 700 to Rs. 900. Where the packing charges: Rs. 200 to Rs. 350, and moving charges: Rs. 500 to Rs. 550.

  3. This includes basic dismantling (if required), packing, loading, and transportation within the city.

  4. Shifting a double bed usually costs between Rs. 1,400 to Rs. 1,500. Here the packing charges: Rs. 450 to Rs. 500, and moving charges: Rs. 950 to Rs. 1,000

  5. Double beds require more labour, packing material, and sometimes dismantling and reassembly.

  6. Local shifting within the same city costs less. Intercity moving increases charges due to fuel, tolls, and longer transit.

  7. Floor level without lift, heavy storage beds, and urgent bookings may increase the price.

Always ask for a clear quote before booking.

I have recently moved out of my rental property so I can give you an estimate of how much does it cost to move a bed. It can range anywhere between Rs 6,000 and Rs 10,000. Several factors affect these prices, and the major among them are: distance, bed size, assembly and disassembly, materials used for packaging and labour cost.

How Much Does it Cost to Move a Mattress?

Moving a bed or mattress can cost between Rs 6,000 and Rs 10,000, but it can vary based on several factors, like:

  1. Distance: The farther you are moving, the higher the transportation cost. A local move will be cheaper than a long-distance one.

  2. Bed Size: Larger beds like king or queen-sized require more space and effort to move, increasing the cost compared to smaller beds like a twin or single.

  3. Disassemble and Reassemble: If your bed needs to be taken apart and put back together, movers may charge extra for this service.

  4. Packing Materials: The cost of wrapping materials like bubble wrap, mattress covers, and tape to protect your bed during transit can add up.

  5. Labour Charges: If you are hiring movers, the number of people needed and the time they take to move your bed will influence the final price.

I will suggest you acquire quotes from as many packers and movers as you can to get a better estimate about the bed or mattress moving charge.
