When I moved into my new apartment in Bangalore, I opted for a DIY move where I had to do everything by myself, from packing to loading and unloading. Packing materials: I bought boxes, tape, and bubble wrap for Rs. 600.
Mini truck rental: Renting a mini vehicle with a driver cost me Rs. 1,500 for a 12-kilometer trip.
Fuel surcharge: Rs. 900, was included in the app’s final bill.
Miscellaneous: During the move, I spent Rs. 200 on snacks and water.
Overall, it was tiring but rewarding. If you have light luggage and a free weekend, DIY can certainly save you money.
