What are the Different Furniture Polish Types?
Shellac wood polish: A hard-finish, long-lasting polish that comes in a variety of colours. Effective as a sealant and stain remover.
Melamine wood polish: Perfect for kitchens, heat-resistant, and quick to dry (within 20 minutes). It isn't water-resistant, though.
Homemade wooden polishes: are excellent for cleaning and moisturising wooden surfaces. For dusting, use a vinegar-lemon mixture; for deep polishing, use an olive oil-lemon mixture.
To polish wood, you must first clean the surface and then use a brush or a soft cloth to apply the polish. Sanding the surface might be necessary before applying certain wood finishes.
