• 6 panels, every 250 watts, 

• or 5 panels, every 300 watts, 

• or 4 panels of 400 watts

The same formula can be applied to how much solar panel need to run AC of 1.5 Ton.

A 1.5 ton AC uses around 2500 watts of power on average so ten 250 watts solar panels will be required to run this AC. 

Similarly, for a 3-ton AC, which roughly uses 3000 to 3500 watts, you will need fourteen 250-watt solar panels. This should be enough to give you an idea of how many solar panels to power AC.
