I am planning to buy a house for investment purposes. When I was exploring properties in different states in India, one question that came to mind was “how many houses in India are there, and how many families own a house in different states?” So, I did my research and this is what I found out:
As per the Census 2011, Bihar has the highest homeownership at 86.6% while Sikkim has the lowest homeownership at 64.5% in states and Daman & Diu has the lowest homeownership at 38.3% in union territory.
