On average, I found that for shorter distances (especially intrastate), it can take 2 to 3 days. But for longer trips, say 1,500 km or more, it could stretch to a week or two on minimum. Here's the influencing factor of car transportation interstate time.
Service Providers and Stops: Most transport services stop every 100–150 km to check the car's condition during the journey.
Paperwork Delays:
I had to get the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the original registration body, which took many days.
A week later, I submitted an application to be re-registered in the new state.
In the new state, I also paid the relevant road tax, which varies depending on the region.
Insurance Updates: For my insurance to update my records, I had to let them know about my re-registration.
Cost Factor: The cost of moving my car depended on its size and the distance. For a sedan, it was slightly higher than for a small car.
