I am planning to shift my family to Faridabad because I got a job there. While searching about the city, I wanted to know how is Faridabad for living. I found that Faridabad, one of the fastest-growing cities in Haryana, has seen a lot of development in recent years. Its location near Delhi and growing infrastructure make it an attractive place for modern and comfortable living. The city now offers many options for housing, schools, and daily conveniences, making it suitable for families.

Advantages of Staying in Faridabad

1. Faridabad has great connectivity to Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh, due to its close location to the capital. Ride-hailing services and the metro make travelling around the city easy and reduce traffic.

2. Although smaller in size, Faridabad is growing in the IT and industrial sectors, creating more job opportunities for people. The city is also more peaceful compared to Delhi NCR, with less traffic and lower noise.

3. Another big advantage is that air pollution here is much less than in Delhi, making it a healthier place to live and a good option for renting a flat.

Though Faridabad is a good city to live in, I have heard about two main disadvantages: poor water quality and frequent electricity cuts, which can sometimes affect daily life.

Overall, Faridabad has many good residential areas with greenery, schools, and amenities, making it ideal for families.

Faridabad is definitely a safe place to live. I lived there for 5 years, and I did not face any serious issues there. Here are some of the main reasons to live in this city:

If you ask me how is Faridabad for living, I will rate this city 3.5/ 5. There are a few aspects that I did not like about this city, and they are:

• The city lacks a proper water supply so the water quality is quite poor compared to Delhi or NCR.

• Electricity cut is quite frequent in this city but things are improving day by day.

• There are some places in Faridabad where the roads are not well-built and if roads get damaged, the government takes too much time to repair them.

Lastly, it is true that Faridabad is growing but at a slow pace, so before shifting here, I will suggest you do a thorough survey of the area where you are planning to settle.
