The deterioration of land or the loss of productivity in the soil that occurs due to climate change, environmental hazards, unbalanced ecosystem, and pollution is called land degradation. Land degradation is affecting the earth so much which is leading to higher food prices, food insecurity, therefore, we should try to control land degradation. Now you may ask how can we solve the problem of land degradation or how can we prevent land degradation.

1. Afforestation

Afforestation is a process of establishing forests or planting trees in a place where there were no previous plants or trees. There are many governments and non-government organizations that engage in afforestation programmes to plant trees and increase carbon capture.
