After cancelling a loan application with SBI, a lien may still appear on your account if funds were temporarily blocked. To remove it, visit your SBI home branch and submit a written request for lien removal along with proof of loan cancellation (acknowledgement, email, or rejection letter). Do formally inform the bank.
Also, carry your account details, ID proof, and application reference number. The bank verifies the cancellation and releases the lien internally. In most cases, the lien is removed within 7 working days. Follow up with the branch if it continues to reflect in your account statement.
