You can get your stamp duty refund simply by submitting an application with the registration department. Also note that you must attach the original sale agreement and the copy of the cancellation deed with it. You will not get the registration charge though but only the Stamp Duty charge will get refunded. You can get upto 98% of the stamp duty so do talk with officials once as well.
