Hello buddy. I would like to share the process to find your customer ID. Being an account holder at Axis Bank, I have done the same in the past.
Your customer ID is stated on the cheque books as well as the welcome letter.
Alternatively, you can SMS CUSTID <account-number> to 56161600 from your registered mobile number at the bank.
