ACH stands for Automated Clearing House. It is a special facility to ease the process of paying the monthly instalments, or EMIs. An ACH mandate is needed to be issued from the bank account registered with HDFC as a repayment account. It must appear in the loan sanction letter as well. The digital process has some glitches or errors of its own. If the bank officials themselves are asking you to deactivate the account and then reactivate it again, you can do it without a second thought.
