Due to the current pandemic situation, the rental prices have gone down all across the country. The demand for the properties has shrunk in the majority of the cities. This is because many companies have already given work from home options and many people have moved back to their hometowns or outskirts of the city. Hence many properties have been vacant.
It is also observed that renting out a property is a part of income to many people and due to pandemic, people are facing an economic crisis. This, in turn, has resulted in the lowering of the rental prices. Many landlords are preferring to give a flat on rent at a lower rent rather than leaving it vacant.
So, yes, the house rents have come down after lock down in Indian cities.
