Yes, you have to submit the original cancellation deed along with the refund application and original registered agreement. You can only get a refund of the stamp duty after submitting these documents successfully, otherwise, you won’t.
You can ask the authorities there about how you can collect it back. I suggest you contact a lawyer to know more about the same.
