While tenants may not have full control over the design and layout of the property, they can still follow certain Vastu guidelines to improve the energy flow and overall harmony in the space. Here are some key considerations for tenants: 

• The front door should always be bigger than the other doors in the house. It should ideally face east-of-north-east (ENE), east, or north, as these directions bring prosperity and opportunities. 

• Before moving in, make sure the owner fixes any damages or leaks. Cracks in walls, doors, or windows should be repaired, as they can lead to health or financial issues. Also, ensure doors and windows don't make creaky noises when opened.

• Avoid homes with a kitchen or toilet in the northeast, as these are difficult to fix, even with Vastu corrections, and can cause problems.

• The kitchen slab should not be blue or black, as these colours may lead to hormonal imbalances in women.

• The centre of the house, known as the Brahmasthan, should be free of heavy objects and clutter. It represents space and must remain open.

• There should be no wells, manholes, or basements in the west, as this direction is linked to profits and gains.

It's advisable to consult an astrologer for an auspicious time to move in and perform a purification ritual, such as a havan. After moving in, mop the floors with sea salt and use essential oils in a diffuser regularly. Also, ensure all clocks and watches in the house are functioning properly, as this symbolises progress for the family.

By following these simple tips and avoiding common mistakes, you can turn your rental into a space that supports your happiness and well-being.
