Hey buddy,
Yes, the khata number will change during resale or reregistration and while paying taxes. This happens because the khata gets transferred from one person to another person. When transferring a khata on a property that already has one based on papers like a sale deed, will, gift deed, family partition, or release deed: -
Application in the appropriate format
Title records, a title flow diagram
a copy of a recent tax payment receipt
A statement concerning an inheritance, a gift, a court order, etc.
Authentic death certificate in the event of Kathadar's passing
I hope you got your answer.

Does Khata number change during resale or reregistration and while paying taxes?
We recently bought a house in Bangalore and got the Khata transferred to our name. I was wondering—does the Khata number change during resale or registration? Also, after the Khata transfer, I assumed our names would automatically reflect on the BBMP property tax portal. But when I entered the PID, it still showed the builder’s name. Do I need to update the tax records separately? If yes, what’s the process to get the new owner's name and full address updated in the property tax receipt?
