Squishing a silverfish will probably leave a grey mark on the surface because they are tiny insects having scaly skin that are easy to brush off. Also, it is disgusting and brutal. I often use some

anti silverfish spray to get rid of these bugs.

Silverfishes favour humid environments and are particularly active after dark. Silverfish enjoy eating things high in starch, including wallpapers, magazines, loose paper, and even food. Although they are generally safe for humans, they can injure the objects they eat.

Does bug spray kill silverfish?

Yes, it does. It will produce a long-lasting bug barricade for up to one year and kill silverfish immediately upon contact (indoors on non-porous surfaces). You can use it to encircle your house as well. Always abide by the directions on the packaging.

You can follow these recommendations as well to get rid of silverfish if you have any in your home:

  1. Construct homemade silverfish traps

Starchy foods are their favourite, and silverfish will go to considerable lengths to find them. Sprinkle flour, dry cereal, or pet food in a glass jar to get rid of them. Remove the top and tape the outside of the container.

The textured surface of the tape will allow silverfish to enter the jar.  However, they won't be able to exit since their feet won't be able to gain a grip on the interior's smooth glass surface.

  1. Use newspapers to draw people in.

A damp old newspaper should be rolled up. It will attract silverfish, who will begin to live there. The newspaper should be disposed of in an airtight, sealed container after a few days. To eliminate the silverfish that have made their way inside, you might also burn them.

  1. Place sticky traps out.

Place a few of these traps wherever you've seen silverfish activity after purchasing many of them. Check the traps within a few days, and throw away any that contain silverfish attached.

  1. Employ cedar oil

One of the numerous essential oils often used to kill silverfish is cedar oil. It works particularly well to kill silverfish, clothing moths, and carpet beetles. For optimum results, use a diffuser or combine a few drops of cedar oil with warm water in a spray bottle before applying the solution to trouble spots.

  1. Employ stale bay leaves.

Simply add a few dried bay leaves wherever you have noticed silverfish signals. The oils of bay leaves, which have been shown to be effective insect deterrents, repel silverfish.

  1. Use a boric acid spray for silverfish

Silverfish can be effectively eliminated using borax. Buy borax at your neighbourhood home improvement store and apply a thin layer wherever you've seen silverfish for the greatest results. It is especially suitable for use on the underside of appliances, along floorboards, in closets, and on the back side of cupboards. You can also use some

citrus spray for silverfish. It serves the same purpose.

I hope now you know way more tricks than just

anti silverfish spray, to eliminate those silverfish at your home.
