In Tamil Nadu, DTCP authorities approve the layout with specific conditions, such as the width of roads, park area, shops, etc. Commercial to Residential conversion is done only on a merit basis. Read below to know how to convert commercial property to residential in TamilNadu:
Check the Gazette notification that says you are required to refer particular cases of demonstrable hardship to the Empowered Committee under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply, Housing and Urban Development with Secretary, Member Secretary, CMDA as members and DTCP as Convener of this committee”.
This Empowered Committee may allow relaxation in any planning parameter specified in these regulations based on merit. The govt. may provide directions on an individual’s case to be referred to Empowered Committee on particular issues.
