Do You Paint Hinges on Cabinets?
Here are the steps for painting cabinets.
He removed the hinges and screws, then soaked them in hot water with a degreaser for about an hour.
After scrubbing them clean with a toothbrush, and dried them with a towel.
To paint the screws, he pushed them into foam so just the heads were showing. The hinges were placed on cardboard with space between them.
He sprayed a light coat of metal primer first, then let it dry.
After that, he applied two thin coats of spray paint, letting each coat dry properly. Everything was left overnight to dry completely before reinstalling.
It was an easy and affordable way to refresh the look of my cabinets without replacing the hardware. This is the method the painter followed to paint the hinges on the cabinet.
