Hey, I came across you asking can you lay a refrigerator on its back and the answe is no. You, shouldn’t lay a fridge on its back or front as this can lead to damage. Instead, you can lay it on its side on the left or right side. The best way though is to strap the fridge while it is standing upright. Strap it to the side of the truck. I will tell you more.

How to Transport Your Fridge?

  1. Begin by emptying the fridge completely and clean the fridge.

  2. Close the doors of the fridge and lock the. Wrap the wire and tape it to the fridge if you can’t remove it and pack it separately.

  3. If you have the original box of the fridge, use that; otherwise, get a box of the same size of the fridge.

  4. Get Thermacol pieces and stack it over the fridge to protect the hardware.

  5. Then, place the box over the fridge and push it down.

  6. Close the openings with tape across all ends.

  7. You can then carry the box and lay it on its side.

  8. Once you upright the fridge again, wait for at least 8 hours before restarting and operating it.

This is all from my end. I hope you now know the answer to whether can you lay a refrigerator on its side or back when transporting.
