He said that if I own a broken Ganesha idol at home with pran-pratishtha done, then it’s advisable to give the idol to the temple priest.
I was also suggested to replace the broken idol with a new one at home to offer proper devotion.
Also, in many traditions, it is believed that having a broken Ganesha idol at home will bring bad luck and have a negative impact.
