However, they do not have the right to cut off the water supply, as water is a basic amenity.
Sometimes, because of maintenance issues like pipe leaks or damaged water connections, the housing society may need to cut off the water supply for a few hours. Before doing so, they should inform you in advance so that you can make the arrangements.
