I am going to shift to a new property but confused, whether can my society stop me from keeping pets.

No, your society cannot stop you from keeping pets. Housing society bye-laws do not allow any ban on pets, and even a General Body resolution against pets is legally invalid. Societies also cannot amend bye-laws to introduce such a ban. Sub-tenants are equally allowed to keep pets, and barking is not a valid reason for restrictions. As long as you follow municipal rules and ensure your pet doesn’t cause harm, keeping pets is your constitutional freedom and fully permissible in any housing society.
