Yes, a father can give his self-acquired property to one son by gift or by will
. The children have no right to demand their father’s property during his lifetime. However, after the father’s death, if he has made a will transferring the property or a share in such property to only one of his sons or daughters, others cannot challenge such transfer as it was done by the father in his lifetime.
