As far as I know, any person with an annual income of Rs 3 lakh to 18 lakh is eligible to apply for the PMAY(Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana( subsidy. The scheme’s aim is to help the middle class or weaker sections of the society by bringing down the household EMI’s by over Rs 2,000 per month and also offers them an interest subsidy. The eligibility criteria is
The person applying for it must not have any pucca house to his/ her name
The co-owner of the property must be a female
No housing scheme assistance must have been availed
The selected property must be located in any of the statutory towns identified under the 2011 Census or a place near to them.
The last date to avail Pmay Scheme was 31st March 2022. But, you can avail the Pmay Gramin scheme, available till 2024.
