Summary
Berger Paints is India's second largest paint supplier, offering a wide range of products. Berger Paints is the best choice if you want a greater selection of product possibilities, premium finishes, specialised eco-friendly options, or high durability. If you are looking for a low cost paint, you can choose British Paints. But British paint will not offer the durability and finishes as Berger Paints.

The best paint brand will always be Berger. But let me just inform you, British Paints is now part of Berger Paints India Ltd. I chose Berger Washable Emulsion paints recently to repaint my 2BHK flat, and I'm quite happy with the results. The coverage was superb. Even after a year, the finish still has a smooth, high-end appearance due to just two applications. In contrast to what I had previously seen with some other brands, the hues appeared exactly like the shade card.

Maintaining Berger's washable emulsion is simple, especially while children are at home. Although it was significantly more expensive than other options, the durability and polish were worth the cost. Additionally, painters I hired also said that Berger paints are reliable and simple to use. So, if you want long-lasting quality and ask me, British Paints vs Berger, which is better, I unquestionably recommend Berger.

In reality, Berger Paints India owns the British Paints brand. Here are the Berger Paints vs British Paints differences:
  • Product Range:
    • A wide range of emulsions, waterproofing, primers, textures, and high-end finishes for both interiors and exteriors is available in Berger Paints' extensive inventory.

    • British Paints has a strong range but fewer than Berger.

  • Paint Quality:

While both brands are good quality, Berger Paints frequently dominates in terms of coverage, weather resistance, and longevity.

  • Paint Cost:
    • Since British Paints concentrates on the budget market with affordable solutions, they are typically regarded as being less expensive than Berger's other paints.

    • British Paints' interior emulsion paints may cost between Rs. 12 and Rs. 15 per square foot, while Berger's emulsion range from Rs. 120 to Rs. 750 per litre.

As Berger Paints offers a wider choice of products, a stronger brand presence, and shown performance in the Indian market, it is typically regarded as superior and more extensively used than British Paints. Though British Paints cost less, Berger offers value when quality matters.
