GPA has no power to execute a sale deed. The Supreme Court in 2011 stated that transferring property through the General Power of Attorney will be considered invalid. The General Power of Attorney can only execute a transaction on behalf of the owner. The transactions such as executing stock powers, managing tax audits, handling a safe deposit box can be managed by the GPA under the supervision of the owner.
