It is a never-ending debate about which is better - real estate or mutual funds investment. I am considering that you have just started your career and you are looking for investment options. I would say, currently, it is better to invest in SIP or mutual funds because:
a. You have an option to invest in small amounts in such investment types.
b. In mutual funds and similar type of investment, the risk is lower as you will have no liability of paying the EMI
c. You can move around flexibly to any part of the city if you keep on renting.
d. You have a choice to exit your stock investments anytime during market hours.
f. You can also liquidate your equity investments partially as per your requirements.
