2. Mid-range cabinets cost around Rs. 1,50,000 to Rs. 3,50,000. It offers better materials, more design options, and improved hardware.

3. High-end modular cabinets can cost more than Rs. 3,50,000. They use premium materials like solid wood or high-quality laminates and offer more customization, along with advanced hardware, for durability.

We remodelled our entire kitchen last year, and a part of the renovation included installing cabinets as well. 1. Materials: If you’re going with high-end materials, the cost will be slightly higher. Some common materials I learned include laminate, wood, MDF, and metal. We opted for MDF as it’s the most budget-friendly material.

2. Construction Method: I also learned there are three kinds of methods: stock, semi-custom, and custom, which will again affect the prices. We went with the standard sizes and designs, and didn’t opt for any customisations, which reduced the overall cost for us.

3. Finish and Hardware: The kind of finish you choose and also the hardware, will greatly affect the cost of cabinet installation. 

So, based on these factors, the overall cost for kitchen cabinets is determined. Our cabinet installation cost us Rs. 47,000 where we opted for a basic standard design, which also had a limited colour options. I am personally quite satisfied with the outcome.
