The property purchased in the name of A’s wife becomes her self-acquired property. And, nobody can claim any right in someone’s self-acquired property irrespective of the mode of the transfer or purchase. Therefore, B cannot claim his rights in the property and stop her.

Who can claim mother's self-acquired property?
