October 29, 2020: The Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) has registered 101 housing projects over the last 43 days (between September 9 and October 22).

Several of these projects that were registered by the state’s realty regulator in October are executed by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board and the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board besides private housing layouts.
Data available on the TNRERA portal show that 40 housing projects from across Tamil Nadu came under the purview of the real estate regulatory authority in October.
As per the Tamil Nadu Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017, all ongoing housing projects with a minimum of eight units that are meant for sale should be registered with the TNRERA.
