I am staying in joint family (parents, spouse and grand parents) in a property owned by grand father who is alive. Property being too old , I am willing to reconstruct the same. But will I get the loan for reconstruction when it is on the name of my grand father and will I get tax benefit ? Or should we transfer the ownership to my name first ? Or in case if it is not transferred now then what will be complication in future while staying in the property which is on the name of grand father.

Since you are not the owner of the house, you can apply for a loan jointly with the owner, but you will remain as a borrower and not the owner, therefore, you will not be able to claim tax benefits. It would be suggested

When my mother (had 3 sons and 1 daughter) was alive, she distributed her self bought property amongst her 3 sons on a 1000 rupee stamp paper, signed by all 3 sons, their wives and herself. You need to register as per the new redevelopment plan therefore, however, you do not need to pay extra charge for your property which was already in your name. It is the owner who bear all the charges. Get proper legal

The owner needs to claim the ownership. A tenant cannot claim a property as a tenant does not possess the property papers, and the pagdi system is just an ownership-tenant system. Read about : What are the tenant rights

So, we have evicted the person from the property and locked the premises as well. However, their belongings remain. So, do we need to evacuate the belongings as well or whether the barring the property from being entered is sufficient enough?
