It depends on what is mentioned in your lease agreement. If it stipulates that you are to paint the walls before vacating the premises, then you are liable to pay for the property to be repainted as you signed the lease

We booked a flat with a builder in Jun 2021, after paying 7.5 Lakh. He did the registration of the flat because we need the agreement paper for Loan Sanction and Disbursement. After registration when the bank checked all the details, the approved sanction plan is missing. We coordinated with the builder firm over mail for 1.5 years they start ignoring calls, messages and even mail. After trying to chase builder CRM team members multiple, they send the approved sanction plan from PMC in December 2022. Finally, the banker ask to do a confirmation deed because there is a change in the sanction plan as compared to the registration that we have. Now builder is asking me to cancel and reregister the agreement. In the cancellation agreement, he mentions purchaser approached the builder and request to cancel the agreement as they have financial and personal problems. What should I do ?
