Under the scheme, MHADA has offered 2,640 flats in various parts of Mumbai in Borivali (128 flats), Goregaon (85 flats), and the remaining units in Vikhroli and Kanamwar Nagar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite the limited supply, the applications are still increasing. As the application window is open till April 29, 2026, and the final lottery is scheduled on May 15, 2026, the application has doubled in the second week with 16,455 applications, and the state housing authority has received 8,529 Earnest Money Deposits (EMDs).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per the official website, out of 2,640 affordable houses, 1,762 apartments, i.e., making 66% houses are under construction. The under-construction apartments are put for sale in areas of Vikhroli, Goregaon, and Borivali. The expensive apartment of MHADA is to be built in Tardeo area of South Mumbai for High Income Group (HIG), which is priced at \u20b96.82 Cr, and the most affordable one is built and put on sale in Mankhurd for Economic Weaker Section (EWS), which is priced at \u20b929 Lakh.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the MHADA list, 4 apartments are priced above \u20b96 Cr, which are to be located in Cressent Tower, Tardeo. The first apartment is priced at \u20b96.77 Cr with 1,520 sq ft, and the second apartment is priced at \u20b96.82 Cr with 1,838 sq ft.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the affordable ones are built in the Mankhurd and Goregaon area in more than 300 sq ft, which are priced above \u20b929 Lakh and \u20b932 Lakh. Making many apartments to be priced between \u20b92 Cr and \u20b94 Cr. Furthermore, 47 homes are reserved for sitting and former Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, the constant and consistent increase in applications shows how there is a huge gap between the demand and supply of getting a house in Mumbai.
