In India, Vastu Shastra has been practiced for thousands of years. It is one of the major aspects for many while constructing or buying a house. Building your house according to the Vastu not only ensures the strength and structure of the house but also helps in bringing positive energy, and vibes of tranquility and peace. However, at times, one might end up buying a house which is not Vastu compliant. This might bring a lot of issues to you and your family and it is important to reduce the Vastu Dosh from your house. You can always perform some rituals suggested by Vastu consultants, there are a few things which you can do immediately to reduce negativity from your house. Here are a few Vastu tips for your house:
1. Illuminate your House
It is advised to always light a small lamp or Diya in our houses. This age-old tradition serves as a natural cleanser and helps kill the negativity around. Along with this, you can also light some incense sticks (agarbatti) twice a day. This will not only help your house stay fresh and fragrant, but it also helps in killing some germs in the house.
2. Keep it Clean
Well, you don’t want a reason to keep your house clean! Most of us clean our house on a day-to-day basis, however, it is also important to keep your windows and doors dust free. This way, you will avoid health (respiratory) issues, ultimately living a healthy and positive lifestyle.
3. Hang Wind Chimes
Wind Chimes are used all across the world. It is said that hanging wind chimes help to enhance good luck. It is also said that the more the rods in the wind chimes, the better the results.
4. Plant a Tulsi Plant
Apart from its medicinal uses, Tulsi is also known to freshen the air in the surrounding. That’s why many of the houses in olden days had a Tulsi pot planted at the entrance of the house. It is also said to bring good fortune as well as positive energy.
5. Keep some salt
Keeping salt at the entrance or near the main door helps in killing the negative energies. It is also believed that it helps in reducing disagreements between the family members.
