Shaniwar Peth is located near the main market area of Pune City. It’s a highly and densely populated area in the city. It came into existence in the year 1675 and was founded by Moropant Pingle. This area is mostly famous because of the Fort Shaniwar wada, the royal Peshwas used this fort as their main establishment during their reign in the city.
